The 1920/21 season contained a short but very lucrative FA Cup run for Hull City, including a bumper Home tie against current Div 1 table-topping Burnley. Hype around the City, and interim work on extra capacity at Anlaby Road ensured a 30,000 capacity crowd were there to watch City take on Burnley, who at the time were on a 24-game unbeaten run - the odds of a win seemed impossible.
