Boothferry Park Halt opens |

The new railway platform on the old Hull and Barnsley line at the side of Boothferry Park officially opens for the FA Cup match against Everton. The platform remains in service until 1986 when it was closed for safety reasons. The platform was eventually removed in October 2007. | more info |

After a very poor string of results - Bob Jackson is given leave of absence in his role as manager of Hull City. In the same statement it is also announced that Bob Brocklebank has been brought in from a scouting role at West Brom to replace Jackson, and will conduct duties immediately. | |
