After claims of non-payment of £103k in rent, David Lloyd locks the gates at Boothferry Park - rendering City homeless. With a new stadium being planned at the Circle, but not until 2002-2003 at the earliest, fears grow about fixture fulfilment. Lloyd opens the gates a few days later after a promise agreement is reached. Gates are locked again for a short period the following season. | |

A creditors meeting approves a deal to settle the debt, and the club is under new ownership after ratification by shareholders and the Football League. Pearson calls a press conference 4 days later to announce the deal. | |

Owner Adam Pearson begins the search for a new manager. Pearson later explains he regrets the decision - wishing Little had stayed until the end of the season. | |

The man largely credited with the start of progression from Tier 4 to Tier 1 during the 2000s - Peter Taylor, is unveiled as new City manager by owner Adam Pearson. Previous managers Brian Little and Jan Molby had brought in some key players, but Taylor managed to take the team to the next two levels within a few years, playing attractive, attacking football. | more info |

After spending a short period on loan from Leeds United with City in 2001 (making 1 sub appearance) - Folan is signed from Wigan for £1M, thus becoming the Tigers` first million pound signing.
