Phil Brown sacked as Manager after poor run of results |

After months of speculation, Phil Brown is dismissed by Adam Pearson as manager of Hull City and placed on gardening leave. Browns position was rumoured to be in jeopardy since Pearson returned in November 2009 - with a poor string of results and performances ultimately leading to his departure, after one of the most successful tenureships in the clubs history. Iain Dowie takes over as interim manager until the end of the season. | |

A statement from the Allams read: Businessmen Assem and Ehab Allam have agreed a Heads of Terms arrangement with Hull City owner Russell Bartlett to take a controlling interest in the Championship club. More details of the agreement will be made public in due course. For the time being, it is important to stress to everyone, especially the supporters of Hull City, that we see our role as bringing financial stability to the club to help clear the outstanding debts and to enable it to survive. | |

The decision to block the Allams from renaming Hull City AFC is finalised by the FA council - the owners are told they cannot appeal the decision, but can re-apply in 12 months time. This decision is met with huge approval from the large majority of the fanbase. | |
